Magic Links

This is a link that can be used to bypass the login screen. A use case of this is when you want to test your project in either the preview site or the live site without the need to login.

Please use the Magic Links with caution.

What’s Needed

A text field containing the tokens in Airtable.

Random generated text is suggested.

Please don’t include special characters like “|”, “&”, “-”, “+”

A formula field to paste the formula given in the setup.

How to Activate

To activate the magic link, please follow these steps.

Select a top level user portal page

Click on the Authentication inside the pop up.

Scroll down to the bottom and turn on the “Magic Link”.

⁠

Choose the field that contains the tokens to be used for the magic link.

⁠

Copy the formula by clicking the “Copy Formula” at the bottom of the input field. Once copied, save the settings to the page. You can see the check mark “Magic Link” in the Authentication section which means that the changes were saved successfully.

Publish a page by creating a version or updating a page in the editor. This will ensure that the changes for the magic links are published and can be used in the preview and live site.
